As a IT Engineering Airtable Specialist, you will play a key role in building and maintaining the Airtable-based internal tools that power IT operations. You will support a wide range of IT functions including asset management, change and incident tracking, directory services, and knowledge systems. Your work will help streamline processes, improve data visibility, and increase automation and intelligence in how IT delivers value across the company. A key focus of this role is applying AI—particularly generative AI and platform-native capabilities—to enhance IT workflows and tooling.
What you'll do
Airtable Development & System Design
- Build, enhance, and maintain Airtable bases that support IT functions including Asset Management, Change Management, Incident Management, and Directory Services.
- Use Airtable Interfaces, Automations, and AI features to deliver scalable and intelligent solutions.
- Translate business and technical needs into user-friendly workflows, reports, and views.
Design and maintain data models that align with IT operational needs.
Process Improvement, AI & Automation
- Analyze existing IT workflows and transition them into efficient Airtable-based systems.
- Implement automation and integration solutions using Airtable, scripting (Python, JavaScript), and APIs.
- Develop and integrate AI-powered solutions—including generative AI and platform-native AI tools—to streamline repetitive tasks, enhance knowledge management, and support decision-making.
- Continuously improve features and logic to optimize performance, usability, and maintainability.
Support & Enablement
- Provide Tier support for Airtable applications used across IT operations.
- Create documentation, guides, and training materials for IT staff and stakeholders.
- Promote Airtable best practices, usage standards, and knowledge-sharing across the team.
Integration & Collaboration
- Build integrations between Airtable and corporate SaaS platforms (e.g., Okta, Google Workspace, Slack, Service Desk tools).
Provide technical guidance on tooling strategy and system architecture. - Capture and channel product feedback from IT teams to improve internal tooling experiences.
Who you are
You are a detail-oriented builder with a strong foundation in internal tools and automation, and a passion for leveraging modern platforms like Airtable and AI to drive operational efficiency. You’re collaborative, adaptable, and focused on delivering systems that solve real problems for IT teams.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in IT engineering, technical operations, or internal tools development.
- Proven experience building Airtable solutions using automations, interfaces, and AI features.
- Hands-on experience implementing AI for automation—including generative AI, platform-native AI assistants, or chatbots.
Skilled in scripting (Python, JavaScript) and using APIs to connect Airtable with SaaS tools. - Familiarity with SaaS ecosystems such as Google Workspace, Slack, and directory services.
- Strong systems thinking, analytical skills, and ability to model and manage relational data.
- Effective communicator (written, verbal, visual) with experience enabling internal stakeholders.
- Experience with agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and managing priorities across multiple initiatives.
- Self-starter with a collaborative mindset who thrives in fast-paced, ambiguous environments.
