POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Production Technician at Branch is a team player, dedicated to assisting in our various manufacturing procedures and helping to ensure safety, quality, and productivity each day. SPECIFIC DUTIES:

  1. Support the company’s mission, vision, and values in performance of daily activities.
  2. Always be aware of your environment and practice “safety first” guidelines.
  3. Maintain a positive working relationship with all individuals in the company.
  4. Adhere to all company policies, procedures, external regulations, and legal requirements.
  5. Assist with robotic 3D-printing process by stocking raw materials and c-channel for relevant robots, tagging printed parts, applying adhesive to print beds, cleaning print platforms and surrounding areas throughout the day, removing printed parts safely, and weighing printed parts.
  6. Assist with robotic foaming process by assembling mold boxes, moving printed parts into the foaming cell, removing foamed parts from mold boxes, moving mold boxes in and out of foaming cell, clamping foamed parts onto the pre-milling tables, measuring & weighing foamed parts, and keeping mold boxes and foaming area clean and ready for use.
  7. Assist with robotic milling process by moving foamed parts into and out of the milling cell, registering parts onto milling platform, cleaning milling cell by collecting dust and air-blowing the robot and track, weighing milled parts and logging data into data collection systems, and ensuring milling area is organized according to 5S and safety standards.
  8. Assist with quality control process by measuring parts post-milling to help analyze warp and surface quality, use post-process foaming techniques to infill unacceptable surface gaps, hand mill cured foam as needed, log in QC data to appropriate software to track part metrics, and visually inspect parts throughout each process to catch QC issues.
  9. Assist with logistics by using forklift to move large objects within factory, crate and package finished goods for shipment, and receive and stock raw materials received from suppliers.
  10. Assist with general factory cleanliness, organization, errands, and administrative tasks.
  11. Cross-train in various robotic or non-robotic processes as needed.
  12. Promptly report any safety, quality, productivity, or maintenance issues to supervisors.
  13. Participate in departmental continuous improvement efforts and support lean initiatives.
  14. Maintain a high level of cleanliness in all work areas.
  15. Help to develop new processes as needed.
  16. Perform other duties as directed by management.

REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCES:

  • Ability and willingness to work flexible hours in shifts individually or in a team-centered environment.
  • Ability to process large amounts of visual information
  • Ability to lift and move objects weighing up to 75 lbs

PREFERRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCES:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • At least two years of workplace experience
  • Experience operating forklifts
  • Experience in high volume warehouse manufacturing
