POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Project Manager will manage the realization of large-scale 3D printed projects and installations. This teammate is responsible for ensuring profitable and timely completion of projects by working closely with internal and external stakeholders, shepherding projects from the sales handoff to the final on-site installation. Internally, this person regularly collaborates with the executives, finance, sales, design, software, production, and logistics. Externally, this person collaborates with owners, engineers, architects, specialty fabricators, general contractors, and installers. The ideal candidate is objective, data driven, organized, disciplined, and fastidious in record-keeping. He or she will protect profitability through creative thinking and problem solving with a demonstrated ability to manage conflict both internally and externally with Branch’s best interests in mind. SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Steward each project to complete on time and within budget.
  • Track and report on progress metrics throughout all phases of each project.
  • Manage relationships with external engineers, fabricators, subcontractors, and consultants.
  • Negotiate contracts and work schedules with subcontractors and vendors, holding each stakeholder accountable for its timely and cost-effective deliverables.
  • Review project scopes, contract terms & conditions, and other relevant project docs sufficiently to understand what needs to be done, how, by whom, and by when.
  • Ensure work performed aligns with design intent and contractual agreements.
  • Participate in creating new project proposals and project scope definitions.
  • Manage multiple concurrent projects while staying on top of daily tasks, celebrating good news frequently and reporting on bad news immediately with a “no surprises” mindset.
  • Facilitate project-related meetings as appropriate and with relevant stakeholders.
  • Ensure cloud-based internal communication tools such as ClickUp, Google Workplace apps, etc. are appropriately used and updated regularly to provide seamless internal communication on project timeline, status, phasing, etc. and to maximize clarity.
  • Work closely – even daily – with the Production Manager and COO to ensure lock-step alignment on project progress through the factory and team resources onsite as needed.
  • Advocate for personnel, materials, equipment, and tools needed to complete each project.
  • Collaborate with Logistics Manager to ensure timely delivery of panels and jobsite supplies.
  • Manage projects with an eye toward maximizing profitability, quality, and timeliness to meet internal financial expectations as well as external client expectations.
  • Continually improve internal PM processes to enable company growth/scaling.

REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCES:

  • Undergraduate degree in construction management, project management, or related field
  • 5+ years project management experience in construction or closely related field
  • Ability to read and understand construction documentation, including architectural drawings, project specifications, safety data sheets, and contracts
  • Familiarity with construction standards and common building codes
  • Demonstrated experience managing project budgets, forecasts, SOVs, and pay applications
  • Proficiency with project management software
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Working knowledge of common office programs (e.g. Google Workplace, Microsoft Office)
  • Willing and able to travel frequently, including for overnight stays at job sites

PREFERRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCES:

  • 5+ years supervising and developing other employees
  • Project management certification
  • Experience in successfully managing multiple multi-million dollar projects concurrently
  • Experience coordinating with a product manufacturer on project delivery
  • Competencies with digital design tools (e.g. Rhino, CAD, Revit)
