Role Overview
We are seeking a Director of Sales to lead and scale our sales operations. This is a high-impact leadership role responsible for establishing DNK’s market presence, building a local sales team, and driving revenue growth. You will play a pivotal role in local go-to-market strategy, customer acquisition, pricing, customer retention and growth, and business development. This role will report to the CEO of DNK Japan.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and execute a go-to-market and sales strategy
- Set and maintain the company’s pricing for all four product lines, as well as work with Product team on any potential new revenue streams
- Responsible for customer retention, growth, and happiness
- Identify and develop relationships with key stakeholders in the real estate ecosystem, including institutional investors, asset managers, property management companies, developers, and REITs
- Run a team of high performing sales and account executives that perform end-to-end sales activities including lead generation, prospecting, pitching, contract negotiation, and closing
- Hire, manage, and mentor a high-performing local sales team as the market scales
- Own and constantly improve the onboarding and training process of all customers
- Establish and report on sales KPIs, market feedback, and revenue forecasts directly to senior leadership
- Represent DNK at key PropTech and real estate industry events
Requirements
- 10+ years of B2B sales or business development experience, preferably in SaaS, PropTech, or real estate technology in Japan
- Proven track record of building sales pipelines, closing enterprise-level deals, and delivering growth
- Experience in scaling or launching a new product in a regional market, ideally in a startup or high-growth environment.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
- Fluency in Japanese and business fluency in English (written and spoken)
Nice to Have
- Experience working with property management platforms, real estate CRM, or other PropTech solutions
- Strong network and deep understanding of the residential property and real estate operations landscape
- Familiarity with SaaS sales models and metrics
- Understanding of APAC real estate markets and cross-border business culture
