Overview of the Role

The photographer's role is pivotal in conducting Physical On-sites (P.O.) by capturing high-quality visuals and precise measurements of project areas. These efforts aid the sales team in crafting accurate and detailed quotes. Additionally, the photographer manages the permitting process, which includes submitting permit applications with relevant authorities. This dual responsibility ensures projects are accurately scoped and proceed without delays, directly contributing to overall project success

Responsibilities

  • Attend Scheduled On-Site Appointments: Travel to physical on-site locations to meet with customers and capture necessary visuals of the project area.
  • Capture High-Quality Visuals: Take photographs and videos that provide detailed visual support for the sales team to use when preparing accurate quotes.
  • Take Precise Measurements: Measure the dimensions of the project area, ensuring that all relevant specifications are documented for use in project scoping.
  • Identify Potential Challenges: Assess the site for any physical challenges, such as slopes, uneven terrain, or other obstacles that may impact the project, and report these issues back to the team.
  • Collaborate with the Sales Team: Communicate findings and visuals to the sales team, providing them with all the information they need to create accurate quotes and proposals.
  • Document Site Conditions: Record any additional details about the site, such as access points, environmental factors, or restrictions that may affect project planning.
  • Prepare and Submit Reports: After each site visit, compile and submit a comprehensive report including visuals, measurements, and any noted challenges to the internal team.

Desired Skills and Experience

Must have:

  • Familiarity with Measurement Tools: Knowledge of and experience with tools used to take accurate site measurements
  • Attention to Detail: Ability to assess and document site-specific challenges, such as slopes or uneven terrain, with accuracy.
  • Effective Communication Skills: Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate with the sales team and provide clear, actionable information after site visits.
  • Time Management: Ability to manage a schedule of on-site appointments and meet deadlines for submitting visuals and reports.
  • Physical Stamina: Capability to handle on-site conditions, including walking across varied terrain and spending time outdoors.

Nice to have

  • Knowledge of construction or landscape design to better understand site requirements.
  • Previous experience working with sales teams to provide visual support for project proposals.
  • Experience in customer-facing roles, ensuring smooth communication during site visits.

Compensation

Payment is based on completed on-sites, with a fixed rate of $25 per on-site.

Availability

  • This position requires 2-3 days of availability per week, depending on regional needs and the photographer's availability.

Bootcamp

  • Training period of 3 days including constant mentoring, teamwork, practical use, and understanding of our technical tools.
  • You will have online training, this is self-study. Q&A session within these three days.
  • 1-2 days of shadowing sessions for 2-3 onsites per day after the gear was provided to the photographer.
