Director of Sales at Handoff
You will play a pivotal role in establishing and leading Handoff's sales team, directly impacting our growth. Your primary focus will be to build a robust pipeline of local sales talent and develop them into high-performing representatives through consistent coaching and mentorship. You will collaborate closely with product and marketing to shape our client strategy, leveraging your deep understanding of our platform to effectively communicate its value proposition and address user objections. Furthermore, you will be instrumental in creating and executing scalable recruitment, training, and mentorship systems to ensure the long-term success of your team and our expansion.
What you'll do
Design and execute a local talent recruitment and development program to build a steady pipeline of high-potential candidates.
Hire, train, and ramp up local sales reps in the first six months, ensuring they meet key performance metrics.
Enable successful training & performance into Account Executive or Customer Success roles
Become an expert in Handoff’s product to ensure the team can sell confidently and accurately.
Collaborate with Handoff’s leadership team to develop sales playbooks tailored for the local market and train the local team to execute them effectively.
Drive the team to meet and exceed aggressive sales targets, contributing significantly to Handoff’s overall revenue growth.
About You
Demonstrated success in leading and scaling sales teams focused on selling software products, ideally for US-based technology companies, achieving significant revenue growth and operational excellence.
Capable of independently managing the operations of the local office, including selecting office space, coordinating with local vendors, and ensuring seamless day-to-day operations. Promotes Handoff's unique culture and fosters a collaborative, high-performing team environment.
Exceptional ability to identify high-potential local talent through structured interviews and assessments. Skilled at tapping into local networks of universities, startup communities, and professional organizations to build a robust pipeline of candidates.
Proven track record of developing structured training programs that ramp up team members quickly. Adept at mentoring and coaching sales reps to develop their skills and achieve high performance.
Thrives in an environment where live, hands-on coaching and mentorship are key to success. Ability to lead by example and foster strong team dynamics.
Strong collaboration skills to work with leadership on creating and refining sales strategies. Ability to train and motivate the local team in executing these strategies effectively.
