You’re detail-oriented, analytical, and eager to build a strong foundation in compliance within a fast-paced, regulated environment. You enjoy working with data, processes, and documentation, and you’re motivated by ensuring things are done correctly and consistently. You’re comfortable learning regulations, partnering cross-functionally, and supporting compliance initiatives that protect the business and its customers.
What You’ll Do Here
As a Compliance Analyst, you’ll support the day-to-day compliance operations of a high-volume residential escrow and title insurance agency. Your work will directly contribute to the success of HomeLight’s transactions and broader compliance efforts in multiple states.
- Support the management of agency and individual licenses across service states, including tracking applications, renewals, and required documentation
- Assist with regulatory (state) and underwriter agent audits, including evidence gathering and audit preparation
- Support compliance initiatives within the Title & Escrow operations, including internal audits and process reviews
- Help monitor adherence to state and federal regulatory requirements
- Maintain compliance documentation, records, and reporting schedules
- Assist in reviewing vendor and partner compliance documentation and contractual requirements
- Support the administration and renewal of required insurance policies
- Assist with quarterly and annual regulatory submissions, including guaranty remittance and 1099 reporting
- Participate in periodic reviews of outstanding checks, trial balances, and escheatment processes
- Identify potential compliance gaps and escalate risks to senior compliance leadership
- Contribute to training materials and documentation related to compliance policies and procedures
You Have
- 1–3 years of experience in compliance, risk, audit, legal operations, financial services, title/escrow, or a related field
- Exposure to researching federal, state, or local regulations and applying them to business operations
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to analyze processes and documentation for accuracy
- Comfort working with data, spreadsheets, and compliance tracking tools
- Ability to clearly document findings and communicate issues to internal stakeholders
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
- Interest in learning regulatory frameworks such as RESPA, GLBA, FinCEN, and state-level title and settlement requirements (experience a plus, not required)
- A proactive mindset and willingness to ask questions and learn in a regulated environment
