About the Team

As a Senior Product Designer, you will report to the Head of Product and collaborate closely with Pine’s product and engineering teams to bring your work to life.

You’ll play an active role in optimizing our user experience by conducting user research, testing, identifying pain points and envisioning solutions while balancing user, business and technical requirements.

We are hiring a Senior Product Designer to help shape the future of home financing for Canadians! You’ll play a critical role in shaping our customer-facing digital mortgage application and internal mortgage advisor and underwriting tools.

You’re excited about this opportunity because you will…

• Conduct user research and testing to identify areas of improvement
• Work closely with product managers to define the problem while keeping users top of mind
• Design solutions from end to end
• Create wireframes and prototypes of various fidelities to communicate ideas and test out potential solutions
• Execute designs in Figma using our established design system
• Work closely with engineers to solve complex problems in a high growth, fast paced environment
• Continually improve and optimize the experience
• Disrupt and re-invent an antiquated industry

We’re excited about you because of your…

• 5+ years of experience working as a product designer, ux designer, or interaction designer
• Solid foundation in user experience, human factors, interaction design principles
• Experience working and collaborating with diverse teams in a dynamic, rapid growth environment
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong communication and visual storytelling skills
• Ability to deconstruct complicated ideas and data into compelling, easy-to-understand user experiences
• Self-starter with the ability to lead projects from conception to execution and manage competing priorities
