Our property team members help our buildings thrive by focusing on execution and ensuring a great experience for both residents and guests. Our non-property team members support property execution and the evolution of other areas within our platform. They can enjoy remote-first work with the freedom to choose their location — as long as they have access to a workspace and reliable Wi-Fi. We believe collaboration is key, so our remote-first teams and property leaders have biannual in-person get-togethers at various locations across the US.

The Impact You’ll Have
As Leasing Manager, you will be part of the management team responsible for flawless execution of leasing goals. You will be responsible for the front-end of the sales process – tours and move ins, as well as the renewal process and resident retention. You will challenge, motivate, and mentor the leasing team to drive revenue, resident satisfaction, and team morale. Acting as a representative of the building, its management, and ownership, you will provide world class service to everyone on-site while using all available resources to promote the product, create an unparalleled resident experience, and negotiate and close qualified leads and renewals. This position is an onsite position located in Salt Lake City, UT.

What You'll Do

  • Lead the charge in marketing, prospecting, touring, and selling of not only our available units, but the overall “home” experience.
  • Answer email and phone leads timely and communicate effectively to schedule tours.
  • Perform onsite tours, close the sale on the spot or maintain follow up to gain lease after.
  • Work with the immediate supervisor and senior leadership to stand up your asset’s sales structure, including but not limited to learning all back-end systems and sales tools, developing and executing local and grassroots marketing plans, creating SOPs, etc.
  • Be the leading expert in local market and industry knowledge. Conduct weekly and monthly market surveys.
  • Review and approve lease applications. Verify compliance of the recent move-ins achieved through monthly audits.
  • Create and execute leasing competitions, training, and coaching for the Leasing Team to ensure high levels of motivations and results.
  • Participate in creation and execution of marketing outreach campaign
  • Create, negotiate, and execute lease renewal contracts.
  • Contribute statistics and analysis of leasing activity during pricing calls
  • Execute weekly and monthly reports as required.
  • Create a culture consistent with Placemakr’s core values and world-class quality of service.
  • Additional duties and responsibilities as assigned

What It Takes

  • You have 2+ years experience in multifamily leasing (required) 1 year of which is in a leadership role (preferred)
  • You have a proven track record of successful leasing/sales with experience selling into a Class-A high rise
  • You’re a service-forward sales superstar who will not just perform but excel in one of the most important and valued positions in the company.
  • You have strong skills in presenting, negotiating terms, and closing deals.
  • You’re knowledgeable about leasing rules and FFH regulations
  • You’ve successfully owned, managed, and cultivated client relationships.
  • You are an effective communicator with self-initiative and comfort working in an environment with changing priorities
  • You’re a people person and love making other people happy. Your personality is infectious, leaving a positive lasting impression on everyone you come in contact with.

  • Leasing Managers will be on their feet and moving around (stand, sit, or walk for an extended time) and taking a hands-on approach to work (move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 50 pounds without assistance). Doing all these things well (and other reasonable job duties as requested) is critical for our Leasing Managers and an exceptional guest experience.
