What We’re Looking For
Source is seeking a talented and experienced Content Manager to lead our digital content marketing efforts in support of our sales and marketing strategy. This role is critical in establishing Source as an innovator and thought leader in the global hospitality procurement industry. The Content Manager will be responsible for personally creating, writing, and designing content to optimize brand recognition, lead generation, and conversion through a multifaceted approach that leverages the company website, social media, email marketing, blog, and proposals. The content manager will collaborate with the internal sales and marketing team to ensure alignment with our brand voice, mission, and sales objectives.
This is a full time position, ideally based in Portland or Denver, but can be remote.
Objectives of this Role
Develop and execute a comprehensive content plan that supports our marketing and sales goals, including brand recognition, lead generation, and customer engagement/retention.
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure content is consistent with brand messaging and aligns with SEO goals.
Responsibilities
Content Creation & Management:
Independently create, write, and design high-quality, engaging, and on-brand content for proposals, pitch decks, websites, blogs, social media, newsletters, case studies, email campaigns, and marketing materials.
Manage a content calendar to ensure timely publication and promotion of content
Ensure all content is consistent with our brand guidelines, tone, and voice.
SEO & Keyword Optimization:
Implement SEO best practices in all content to improve organic search visibility.
Conduct keyword research to identify opportunities for content optimization and growth.
Social Media Management:
Develop and implement social media strategies to increase brand visibility and engagement on LinkedIn and Instagram.
Manage and grow social media communities, including responding to comments and fostering discussions.
Analytics & Reporting:
Track content performance metrics and use data-driven insights to optimize content strategy.
Prepare regular reports on content performance, including website traffic, social media engagement, and lead generation.
Collaboration:
Work closely with the marketing team, sales team, and other stakeholders to ensure content supports broader business objectives.
Coordinate with external agencies or freelancers for specialized content creation when necessary.
Thought Leadership:
Establish and maintain Source as a thought leader in the procurement industry by creating authoritative and insightful content.
Stay up-to-date with industry trends and integrate them into content strategies.
Experience and Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or a related field.
3 - 5+ years of experience in visual content management, digital marketing, or a similar role.
Strong writing, editing, and communication skills.
Proficient in graphic design software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Canva).
Proven experience managing content across multiple platforms, including websites, blogs, and social media with demonstrated ROI for a B2B.
Strong understanding of SEO principles and content optimization.
Ability to create and execute content independently with minimal supervision.
Experience with content management systems (e.g., WordPress), social media management tools (e.g., Hootsuite), and analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics).
Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
